    Job Summary:
    Node4 are looking to recruit 2 first line support engineers to work in our state of the art data centre in Derby’s Pride Park.

    You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of the very latest networking equipment in a dynamic and fast moving data centre. You will have the full backing of a team of Cisco and Microsoft certified experts and the opportunity to learn new skills, gain relevant qualifications and progress within the team.

    Starting salary 16-18k +overtime depending on experience, 40 hour week on rota system

    Key Duties:
    The role involves dealing with first line telephone calls from a mixture of end users and resellers, solving problems where possible and escalating to second and third line as necessary.
    Node4 use an online ticket system to manage faults and this role will be responsible for keeping customers informed via this system. You will also raise and track faults with our third party providers such as Kingston and BT.
    The job also requires you to look after visitors to our data centre, providing them with access to the building and technical support whilst they are onsite.
    In addition you will have the opportunity to be involved in new projects, working alongside our senior engineers.
    Working Hours:
    The job involves working a rota system to provide extended hours of cover between 7am and 10pm Mon-Fri and 9pm to 6pm weekends, although initially you would be working normal office hours during a probationary period.
    Experience / Knowledge:
    We are looking for bright, enthusiastic people with good working knowledge of Networking, Broadband, Routers, Firewalls and Windows Servers. A CCNA / MCSE qualification would be ideal but is not as important as some real life experience in networking, a willingness to learn and good communication and customer service skills.
