Derby Expansion Underway for Node4

More developments are underway this week at Node4’s headquarters in Derby as work begins on a brand new data centre hall expanding the company’s already extensive data centre facilities.

The new hall is expected to be ready for the data centre and communications specialists’ customers to move in January 2010 and will provide even more opportunities for both new and existing Node4 customers to create a full disaster recovery solution spread between Derby and Node4’s DC3 in Wakefield, or to simply use the new hall to colocate their business servers.

DC1 Hall 2 will be an expansion of the original Node4 data centre and will have the capacity for 80 racks bringing the total number of racks at the Derby site up to 340. The new hall is being developed with the same high, Tier III specification as the company’s DC2, also in Derby, which is now full to capacity due to the high demand seen this year.
