Node4 ranked 438 on the Deloitte ‘Technology Fast 500 EMEA’ 2011, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the EMEA.

Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years. Node4 grew 363% during this period.


The Sunday Times Tech Track 100


Node4 secures coveted spot in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for second consecutive year after another impressive year of trading and is one of only three East Midlands companies to feature on the list.

High flying Derby entrepreneur Andrew Gilbert has once again steered his company Node4 into the prestigious The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 following an appearance in last year’s list. The company, which specialises in data centres and communications solutions, will be invited to the 11th annual Tech Track 100 awards dinner at Vinopolis in London to celebrate their success.

The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 recognises Britain’s 100 private tech companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years. Node4 has cemented their place in the rankings by recording an annual growth in sales of 42%, and £8.9 million sales in the 2010/2011 financial year.


Andrew Gilbert, Managing Director of Node4, wins European Data Centre Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2011


Andrew Gilbert, Managing Director and founder of Britain’s fastest growing data centre company, Node4, was pronounced the winner of the European Data Centre Award for Entrepreneur of the Year 2011.  The award is presented to the entrepreneur who has demonstrated exemplary world class success in the data centre sector, and recognises a proven track record of recent industry achievements representing marketing flair, commercial success and significant business growth, uniqueness in approach and industry leadership.  As one of the youngest and most successful entrepreneurs in Britain, Andrew said,

“I am delighted to receive such a prestigious award especially in these challenging economic times and whilst it is fantastic for me personally it is also an endorsement of the efforts of my whole team over the past year.  2012 is going to be very exciting for Node4 and we are already planning our fifth data centre with a sixth also on the cards.  The future of cloud computing and data centre technology is rapidly evolving and I anticipate the continuous growth of UK’s market to remain strong for the foreseeable.”


Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year finalist

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Gilbert has been selected as a Ernst & Young North and Midlands Entrepreneur Of The Year finalist.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. As the first and only truly global award of its kind, Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognising them through regional, national and global awards programmes in more than 140 cities and in more than 50 nations.
Andrew will attend  the North & Midlands Masterclass and judges reception 17 May , Leeds.

The Judges of the fourth annual Data Centre Awards 2011, have announced the shortlisted companies across nine industry categories. The Awards panel has received nominations from companies across Europe, central and eastern Europe and the Judges have undertaken a rigorous review over the past three months assessing the nominations.Node4 is delighted to be shortlisted  for The Data Centre Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2011 – SME Enterprise Category – sponsored by Barclays Capital :

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50, UK’s pre-eminent technology awards programme, is a ranking of the country’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over five years.

Deloitte launched the programme over a decade ago to celebrate the world-class achievements of the UK technology sector. The Technology Fast 50 awards are all about revenue growth driven by leading intellectual property, and are a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Having ranked No.1 in the Midlands our Managing Director, Andrew Gilbert was chosen by Deloitte for a case study.


Node4 joins the league -The Sunday Times Tech Track 100


The Sunday Times Tech Track 100, sponsored by Microsoft has ranked Node4 in 45th position as one of the UK’s fastest growing privately owned technology based companies in the prestigious 2010 league table.

The full findings were published in a special 8-page colour broadsheet supplement in the business section of The Sunday Times on 19th September 2010 and online.

Cisco Innovation of the Year

In 2007, we were honoured to be awarded Cisco’s ‘Innovation Award of the Year’ for the UK and Ireland. The global awards were given out by Cisco to honour outstanding partner achievements throughout the year of 2006. We won this award due to a combination of hard work and innovative thinking behind our hosted telephony service hostTALK which featured a built-in Cisco CallManager application.

The award was accepted by our Managing Director, Andrew Gilbert at the annual Cisco Partner Summit in Las Vegas in April of the year, who commented;

We are extremely pleased with this award as it recognises all the hard work Node4 has put in to get hostTALK up to the standard it is today. We are delighted to have been recognised by Cisco to be raising the standard of innovative technology in the UK”.


Unified Communications Product of the Year

In 2007, we left the Channel Expo Awards with the ‘Unified Convergence and Communications Product of the Year’, again for our hosted telephony service hostTALK. The competition for the category was strong and we managed to beat offerings from companies such as Broadsoft, Microsoft and ShoreTel.

Over 300 people attended the first ever Channel Expo Awards which were held at the National Motorcycle Museum with an elaborate dinner and ceremony. A selection of our team were present to see Managing Director Andrew Gilbert accept the award, who commented;

We are delighted with this award as it has given hostTALK the recognition it deserves. This accolade will bring attention to the fact that hostTALK is leading the industry with a complete end-to-end unified communications solution with the emphasis on quality, allowing businesses of any size the ability to have the latest technology on a per user, per month basis”.

We have been shortlisted as a finalist at the awards in 2005 and 2007.


Innovation in Data Centre Awards

The Innovation in Data Centre Awards identifies excellence within the managed hosting sector with specialist judges from organisations including Morgan Stanley, HP, Norland, C-Net, Dell and APC.

We have been shortlisted as a finalist at the awards in 2009 where we demonstrated within our entry the design and operations behind our Wakefield data centre. Our Managing Director, Andrew Gilbert commented;
