From the smallest business to the largest enterprise, all IT and security teams are witnessing an increase in cyber attacks and an evolving threat landscape, coming from well skilled, and persistent attackers.

In addition, the number of devices, users, applications, and services that businesses use has grown tremendously and with this comes a large amount of data including customer data, financial transactions, and intellectual property.

This data is highly prized by cybercriminals, and they continue to evolve highly sophisticated attacks such as Advanced Persistent Threats (APT).

An APT is a network attack in which an unauthorised person gains access to a network and attempts to remain undetected for a long period of time. The intention of the attack is to steal company data, like the data mentioned above, rather than causing damage to the network or organisation.

We’ve put together an infographic describing the process of APTs, and how our Next Generation Firewall and Advanced Threat Management solution, N4Protect+, can mitigate against such threats.
