Wakefield Data Centre (DC3): Hall 4 Update

Construction is now underway on Hall 4 of our Wakefield Data Centre, which will give us the capacity for another 150 racks spread over 350m2 of technical space.

Right now, we are installing the Aircon and power systems and linking everything together; that’s the last big bit of plant to be delivered, so it’s all connection and commissioning work for the next 6 weeks.

The installation includes:

  • 2x Airedale 420KW Free Cooling Chillers
  • 4x CRAC Units (will expand to 8 later)
  • 2x UPS Panel Boards
  • 2x Eaton UPS (will expand to 4 later)
  • Extension of Existing Gas Suppression System
  • Raised Access Floor
  • Busbar Power Distribution System
  • LED Lighting
  • Airedale BMS System

2 x Airedale 420KW freecooling chillers

Panel Boards and UPS

As you can see, we’re busy improving our infrastructure. The expansion of Data Hall 4 is the next step in enabling us to better serve our customers.

Stay tuned for more updates…
