Network Project Engineer

Job Description

As a result of our continued year on year growth we need to expand our Network Team and are therefore looking to recruit a Network Project Engineer.

Working as part of a Network Team you will be a key player delivering orders and working on customer projects delivering end-to-end solutions comprising of WAN, LAN, WLAN and security.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take a high-level design, scope of works and bill of materials and develop a low level design and implementation plan
  • Be competent in the low-level design of WANs and LANs (IP addressing, VLANs, resilience at Layer-2 and Layer-3, etc.)
  • Be competent in the configuration of Cisco router and switches and/or Juniper routers and switches
  • Build and implement test plans
  • Perform network migrations (typically out of hours)
  • Build change controls defining CLI commands
  • Peer review other engineers change controls
  • Design WLAN solutions
  • Configure security appliances and UTM features on either Cisco ASA and/or Juniper SRX & Fortigate
  • Mentor Network Support and Provisioning Engineers
  • The role will require someone who can take an HLD and deliver an end-to-end solution, and manage multiple projects and own workload
